My new Kindle Paperwhite

I picked up a new Kindle Paperwhite (Gen 12) a few days ago.

Recently I pulled out my old Kindle Paperwhite Gen 10 (2018) for an appointment where I'd be waiting. I had forgotten how nice it was to read on it versus reading on my phone. But that Paperwhite does not have the warm light feature.

I watched a bunch of Youtube unboxing and reviews and decided to try out the new Paperwhite.

It's definitely faster with scrolling and page turns.

The warm light makes a difference for me reading in bed.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the size and weight as the new is 7 inch, 214 grams vs 6 inch, 158 grams. Holding both, the Gen 10 almost feels heavier because the weight is condensed.

I had gotten a pair of gadget straps not long ago for something different but ended up using them on both Kindles. I think I will stick with the strap as opposed to a popsocket.

I joined Kindle Unlimited for a three month trial for 99 cents. I haven't found a lot.. but enough. I'm a picky reader. But I do have Libby with a few library accounts so I can find enough to read without spending money.

I'm happy with this purchase.
